We all know that everyone can make mistakes. And apparently, even the comic book writers of this well known comic book, Marvel, are not exempted from this. Mistakes just like these can be caused by many things. I personally think that these bloopers were probably caused by tight deadlines. But readers must give credit to these writers, because despite those tight deadlines, they were able to meet them. And these writers surely did an incredible job of laying the groundwork for the high quality comic books we have today. And even with all the bloopers, Marvel comic books are still popular and we all have our favorite Marvel characters! Although it is quite possible that most of the people reading the comic books don’t even notice these details, as they are so engrossed with the story. Here are a few of top Marvel bloopers:

1. Looking at this comic clip, it is pretty clear who the marvel superhero is. But then if you start reading through it, notice the villain calling Spiderman, Superman! Since when did Superman look like that? And why in the world would Superman talk about his web (does he even have one?)?

2. This comic clip shows Captain America getting ready for a fight. If you read through the lines, you will notice him saying that only one of them will survive, and that it won’t be him? Does this mean that Captain America is already accepting defeat, even before the fight starts? If this is the case, he sure knows when to give up…

3. I’m sure everyone who at least watched the Spiderman movies would know his real name. You don’t have to be some sort of Spiderman fan to even know this! But in this comic clip, Spiderman’s name has become Peter Palmer, instead of Peter Parker. Can you imagine trying to root for a guy named Peter Palmer?

4. This comic clip was taken from the Hulk, which shows Captain Barracuda. Notice something with the drawings? If you look at it closely, he peers into the periscope using his eye covered with an eye-patch! How is it possible that he can actually see through the periscope? Trying to look through it with the eye covered by his patch could be a desperate cry for help! He could be seeking attention for his disability, or maybe he was just too embarrassed to admit his mistake.

5. This comic clip shows Mr. Fantastic of the Fantastic Four falling off a building. The blooper in this clip probably wouldn’t be as obvious as the rest. To be able to see it clearly, there is a zoomed up image in the lower left. Do you see it? Mr. Fantastic sure is super, because apparently, he’s got 2 right hands! Just check out the hand that should have been a left foot high up in the window. Not only was a hand drawn in the place of a foot, but a right hand was used for a left foot!

Classic! I love it.
Peter Palmer. lol. I’m surprised the editor didn’t catch that before it went to print. Or the Super-man “typo.” I guess that letterer had his mind on the competition’s books at the time.

Hi David,
I guess so too! It happens to me often. When I am sending out emails and thinking about another person, chances are, I will send the mail to him by mistake!
Thanks for replying. See you around!

Wow, great finds. I have never seen that Mr. Fantastic one before. The Spiderman one is a classic! I have a couple more that I have run across in the past. Mostly typos though.
