We all know that everyone can make mistakes. And apparently, even the comic book writers of this well known comic book, Marvel, are not exempted from this. Mistakes just like these can be caused by many things. I personally think that these bloopers were probably caused by tight deadlines. But readers must give credit to these writers, because despite those tight deadlines, they were able to meet them. And these writers surely did an incredible job of laying the groundwork for the high quality comic books we have today. And even with all the bloopers, Marvel comic books are still popular and we all have our favorite Marvel characters! Although it is quite possible that most of the people reading the comic books don’t even notice these details, as they are so engrossed with the story. Here are a few of top Marvel bloopers:

1. Looking at this comic clip, it is pretty clear who the marvel superhero is. But then if you start reading through it, notice the villain calling Spiderman, Superman! Since when did Superman look like that? And why in the world would Superman talk about his web (does he even have one?)?

http://img234.imageshack.us/img234/695/comic2wf9.jpg

2. This comic clip shows Captain America getting ready for a fight. If you read through the lines, you will notice him saying that only one of them will survive, and that it won’t be him? Does this mean that Captain America is already accepting defeat, even before the fight starts? If this is the case, he sure knows when to give up…

http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/4442/comic3uv5.jpg

3. I’m sure everyone who at least watched the Spiderman movies would know his real name. You don’t have to be some sort of Spiderman fan to even know this! But in this comic clip, Spiderman’s name has become Peter Palmer, instead of Peter Parker. Can you imagine trying to root for a guy named Peter Palmer?

http://img234.imageshack.us/img234/19/comic4av6.jpg

4. This comic clip was taken from the Hulk, which shows Captain Barracuda. Notice something with the drawings? If you look at it closely, he peers into the periscope using his eye covered with an eye-patch! How is it possible that he can actually see through the periscope? Trying to look through it with the eye covered by his patch could be a desperate cry for help! He could be seeking attention for his disability, or maybe he was just too embarrassed to admit his mistake.

http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/3535/comic5yd1.jpg

5. This comic clip shows Mr. Fantastic of the Fantastic Four falling off a building. The blooper in this clip probably wouldn’t be as obvious as the rest. To be able to see it clearly, there is a zoomed up image in the lower left. Do you see it? Mr. Fantastic sure is super, because apparently, he’s got 2 right hands! Just check out the hand that should have been a left foot high up in the window. Not only was a hand drawn in the place of a foot, but a right hand was used for a left foot!

With photography being the new ‘in’ thing nowadays, it is only natural that we see all these cameras being sold everywhere! I’ve noticed that even companies who don’t even specialize in photography or cameras have already started investing in it and started selling them in the market as well. With all the different camera brands in the market today who would claim to have more or less similar features, it has become difficult for some people to decide which camera to purchase. In this light, here are the top 5 point and shoot cameras to buy.

http://www.photographyblog.com/images/products/canon_digital_ixus_80_is_2.jpg
1. Canon Digital IXUS 80 IS
This has great image quality, minimal shutter lag and performs speedily with optical image stabilizer that delivers impressive image quality. The only bad thing with this one is this one has no manual exposure controls and slow flash recycle time.

2. Canon Digital IXUS 860 IS
This one has face detection, which automatically focuses on faces. The optical image stabilization is becoming a standard feature in Canon cameras now. This one though, has no optical view finder but still captures superb images with its 3.8x optical zoom. This is why it is among the top ranking in compact cameras.

3. Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX36
The 25mm wide-angled lens quality photo it takes puts this in one of the top point and shoot cameras. Aside from its elegant design, this compact powerhouse is capable of delivering HD quality videos. The bad thing here is, focusing is a bit tad slow.

4. Fujifilm FinePix F100fd
The high ISO density of 12,800 with 5x optical zoom and 28mm wide angle lens is joined with a short shutter lag with intuitive face detection. These are notable features of the Fujifilm FinePix F100fd. The problem lies on its weight and awkward positioning of the lens because it can be easily covered by the fingers.

5. Sony Cyber-shot DSC- T70
This is one of the slimmest and thinnest point and shoot cameras available. Don’t look down on it because it has an excellent macro photo taking mode. The battery life is not long and the touch screen is not a plus because buttons are easily pressed accidentally. Even though there are a lot of issues in this model, Cybershot performs just fine is you do not demand a lot from your point and shoot camera.

Now, Go and take your winning creative shots!

Just as an additional FYI, these are the most famous brands when it comes to cameras.

Adults, not only play with toys but they also have activities that make them feel child at heart. Everyone wants to cherish their childish moments but circumstances do not allow so for some. But this one activity for sure, can be done by literally anyone, even if you are the CEO of the company, manager of a large corporation or someone who is looked up upon. That activity, is watching animations and cartoons. Here are top three 3d animations that can make you feel child at heart.

“Miiiiiine…!”
Kung Fu Panda
This is one of the movies that adults won’t be disappointed to watch. The 3d animation was superb and needless to say, the voice acting of Jack Black fits Po the panda bear. Not only the Panda did well but also, the other furious five! Aside from all the funny scenes where Po is mostly included, lessons have also been learned here. Po was obviously not capable of being the Kung Fu master but someone with authority, Oogway (Means turtle in the Mandarin language), told him that he is, thus, Po the Panda building confidence and I won’t spoil the story anymore. Just watch it.

*Pause*
Ratatouille
Not only for those who love underdogs and watch people, err.. rats cooking but for anyone who wants some of their funny bone tickled. This is an animation where love, courage, and hope are depicted clearly. Of course, fate joined them together thus creating a clownish clumsy combo which. Remy the rat discovered his passion for cooking and that made their combo successful.

Where is Nemo?
Finding Nemo
This tells the story of a young fish, which characterizes young kids, who wants to discover and is very curious about everything in the environment and ends up being caught by a human and stuck in an aquarium with weird companions. One of the first high quality 3d computer animations I saw and this sure attracted a lot of attention because of the CGI and humorous plot.

Robert Downey Jr.I have finally watched Iron Man. I have to say Robert Downey Jr.’s talent is impeccable. Granted the character of Tony Stark is not that challenging but the manner in which Robert Downey played the part added a little bit of trueness to an otherwise 2 dimensional character.

Okay maybe he’s not that 2 dimensional but Tony Stark is pretty much the stereotype wealthy guy who is a ladies’ man as well. The only difference is that he’s a geek. He has been called a child protégé and in his adulthood he has created numerous technologies especially in the field of weaponry. Furthermore, later on in his Iron Man career he becomes an alcoholic. So much so that he loses Stark Industries, Iron Man and becomes a vagrant in the streets. But like all heroes he will eventually get back on his feet and get back everything that he owned.

Iron Man in the comic book has had so many adaptations to meet the different issues of the world. Initially, Iron Man was battling the communists in Vietnam, then the plot revolved around the Gulf War then Afghanistan.

The movie was made as a combination of both the Old Iron Man and the new ones. The only problem I find in this movie is the length of time that they dedicated to the origin of Iron Man. More than half of the story focused on how Tony Stark was a playboy and was captured by the enemy. This experience made him see the error of his ways and in captivity he creates the Iron Man suit to escape.

Maybe I’m such a comic snob in that sense that if you’re going to watch a show like this, wouldn’t it be better to acquaint yourself with the origin of the character so that the producers can just move on and go to the juicier, action filled story of Iron Man. No… this will never happen. They did this even with the remake of Superman and honestly the Christopher Reeves version should have been enough as a backgrounder. Granted this was made more than 20 years ago, but still…. Too much time is dedicated to the origins that the excitement of the adventures of these comic book characters is not properly portrayed. I bet the same thing will happen with Batman (the origin of Joker) and The Incredible Hulk.

Be that as it may, I still think that Iron Man is one of the better superheroes in the comic book world – the best being Batman. As you can see these characters are normal people who used their intelligence and resources to become a super hero. It’s not like Superman or Wonder woman who are like supernaturals. The fact that Tony Stark is a human makes Iron Man far more admirable and inspirational.

Initially I was surprised that Robert Downey Jr. chose a project like Iron Man – Iron Man being a show for kids and of that o a comic book character. I mean, Robert Downey is a very choosy actor. He normally chooses projects that would challenge his talent and here he is all of a sudden doing Iron Man. But then as I mentioned earlier, Tony Stark loses his path and becomes an alcoholic, something similar to the real life problems of Downey. So I can only assume this is not the last we’ll see of Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. I believe there will be sequels. I hope so. How exciting!

There’s a whole lot of talk about Miley Cyrus and her controversial picture. All this talk however gives Annie Leibovitz free advertising if she needed to be more famous which honestly she doesn’t need.

In sense, I do not deny the fact that took the pictures for Art’s sake as she is truly an artist. Even John Lennon’s naked picture with Yoko Ono was artistically done. And although she is only 15 years-old the picture that Leibovitz took on an artistic level was quite good. Whether or not it was morally correct to have used a 15 year old model for young kids for such an evocative picture is not the issue that I’m trying to bring forth. All I am saying is that same picture was very well done and Leibovitz has surely used numerous actors and actresses to create the photographic art that she does.

In Miley Cyrus’ picture the color contrast – the blackness of her hair in contrast to the whiteness of her skin – creates a beautifully gothic-like picture of a young girl. Miley looked like a young vampire even. But then that’s not how most people see it….

Just so that you can appreciate more of Leibovitz artistic talent, here are some more of the pictures that she has done….

Have you heard of the movie Where in the world is Osama Bin Laden? Well it was release last 18th and honestly, I do not know whether or not I’m going to watch it.

I’ve seen the trailer and it is showing in AMC but I don’t know what to make of it. It seems like a very big joke. I have half the mind of putting up an online competition… I just don’t know what the topic should be…how about an online completion about the whereabouts of Osama Bin Laden or better yet, the most ridiculous film ever made?

It is quite unbelievable sometimes how people are so unwilling to accept change.

There is an ongoing controversy about multinational brands entering the Tibetan area of China. Apparently, the Olympic torch will be brought all the way to Tibet and Tibetans are going on a protest saying that the Olympic torch which symbolizes the Olympics with its Western sponsors may corrupt the very essence of the Tibetan way of life.

With the Olympics comes tourism and with its sponsors come investment which will help the Chinese economy. So what’s the deal?

There is nothing wrong with hanging on to tradition and the classical way of life… but should you stop change as well? Even if it’s for the country’s benefit?

China used to be called the sleeping Giant. It is a giant but it is not sleeping anymore…. And some of its people are trying to stop it from getting up because of fear…. Fear of change…

Do you know how many movies have been made about the Tudors?  Why can’t they make more movies about the Plantagenet or the War of the Roses?  Granted that these movies exist, but the production of these movies were not as much as the movies about the Tudors.   I mean really, I think Eleanor of Aquitaine is as interesting as Anne Boleyn…Which now brings me to the movie The Other Boleyn Girl.

Let me introduce the invasion of the Tudors in present movie life.  First we had a taste of Elizabeth I in 1998 which was followed by a sequel about Elizabeth: The Golden Age just last year.  Because of the popularity and success of these movies, where Elizabeth was perfectly portrayed by Cate Blanchett, the populace, if they’d forgotten or taken the Tudors for granted, were now re-familiarized by the story of this Royal House.

This wave of Elizabeth I is supported by the television series, The Tudors, where again the populace is now made familiar about the character of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn.  I do not think that most people even think about the significance of Henry VIII’s action in the history of England as the show focuses on the love, the politics and the sex involved in court life.

Finally, we have The Other Boleyn Girl.  This movie was just not at par with my expectations.  But then again, whenever has a movie based on a book ever been truly successful, as the readers of the book would always have their complaints.

In any case, The Other Boleyn Girl was a good spin-off of the Tudor movie series as it focuses not on Anne or Henry VIII but on Mary the sister of Anne and the lover of Henry VIII.   However, the movie lacks the proper characterization of the characters.  The movie was trying to cram too much information in a two hour movie.  The triangle between Mary, Anne and Henry spanned an amount of time which encompassed love, sex, relationships and politics.  All of these cannot be truly developed in a two hour movie.  The motivations of Anne Boleyn for her actions were not fully threshed out making her look nothing more than a ruthless, scheming and manipulative trollop.  Mary who has had her experience in politics, manipulation and court life was made to look so innocent but this innocence was not fully founded in the movie.  Finally, the character of Henry VIII was so two dimensional that Eric Bana’s talents were wasted on the movie.  But I don’t think he fully wasted his time though.  I mean… come on… sex scenes with the hottest actresses in Hollywood.

According to Ibeatyou.com Scarlett Johansson is the hottest actress in town and yet a lot of others believe that Natalie Portman is the hottest actress in town.  Who do you think is hotter?  Well it doesn’t matter…in The Other Boleyn Girl, equally hot Bana has both girls.

No matter… after being Mary Boleyn, Scarlett Johansson will come out in another movie about the royalty of England … and yes.. IT IS NOT ANOTHER TUDOR MOVIE… Mary, Queen of Scots, as Mary Queen of Scots.  I mean…THANK GOD FOR THE STUARTS!!!!!
